Online masterclass in writing

Year 4 virtually met the author Josh Lacey who has written many books such as Dragonsitter, A Dog Called Grk and a book year 4 are currently reading Hope Jones Saves the World.

The children were able to ask him many questions. One question we asked is how long did it take to write the book Hope Jones Saves the World? Josh Lacey told us ‘two years’. He first wrote the book and it wasn’t right, so he had to start again and keep trying. He taught Year 4s a good lesson, when he discussed all of his edits and redrafts of the novel, to persevere when writing!
