Women’s Tour of Britain

We were very excited that the prestigious Women’s Tour of Britain cycling event passed right outside Harriers, along the Bloxham Road, on Monday 4th October. We took the opportunity for classes to go outside to watch nearly 100 of the world’s best riders finishing the stage 1 tour in Banbury (after a Grand Départ from Bicester). This was an amazing chance for our pupils and community to see world class athletes in their home town.

It was thrilling to see a convoy of police escorts, television crews, support vehicles and obviously the riders themselves – the children got a real sense of excitement, and the experience of elite sport on their doorstep!

A huge thank you to all our parent helpers who assisted with looking after the children during the event.
