What a great start to our nursery adventure, the children have all settled really well and are now beginning to understand the nursery routine. Friendships are beginning to develop and the children are following our nursery rules to ensure we all stay safe.

Trying different fruits

In the boat in the Nursery garden

We have explored many stories this term, Handa’s Surprise, Rosie’s Walk, A New House for Mouse and The Everywhere Bear. To support our learning of these stories, we have tried different fruits from Handa’s Surprise; in P.E we learnt some positional language by manoeuvring over apparatus: under, over, around, across, past and in between — just like Rosie on her walk! We also made a new house for Mouse from junk modelling and ate apples to see how they changed from being big to small.

We have started our phonics programme by exploring environmental sounds in our music sessions.
